Job Title: Operations and Development Associate

Reports to: Director of Operations

Location: This is a full-time, salaried position based in Denver, Colorado. 

Salary Range: $57,000-$75,000

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for a combination of administrative, operations, and development work. You will work with the team to plan and execute three annual conferences, including liaising with vendors, managing logistics, managing volunteers, maintaining budgets, and managing contracts and other details. You will also conduct other administrative activities, including managing projects and databases, conducting research, liaising with advisors, following up on the completion of action items, coordinating venues, and managing schedules and meetings. You will also manage development activities, including writing proposals, communicating with partners, managing donor communication, networking with potential partners, and providing support to existing partners.

TEDxMileHigh presents talks and other programming through its in-person conferences and digital content as an avenue to promote education, dialogue, and stronger communities. We share content online that is available for free and focuses on the world’s biggest challenges. We’ve produced hundreds of events for 100,000 attendees. Our talks online have been viewed 140 million times through online channels. TEDxMileHigh is a nonprofit organization that is licensed by TED.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications:

TEDxMileHigh seeks an Operations and Development Associate with: 

• A passion for education and social justice, and a belief that ideas can change the world 
• Multi-cultural competency (bilingual preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and consistent attention to detail 
• A solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to manage plans autonomously
• Resourcefulness, a commitment to learning, and an ability to pivot and innovate
• Three years of experience in administrative and/or operational support functions 
• Experience planning events, including conferences, virtual events, and webinar (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CRM software and Adobe Acrobat (preferred)
• Experience with partnership development (preferred)
• Nonprofit experience (preferred)

Location, Salary, and Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position based in Denver, Colorado.  The majority of work will be conducted remotely although the team meets in person as needed. The salary range for this position is $57,000-75,000 in addition to benefits.
