Building a Culture of Preparedness

Join us for a conversation on floods, fires, and more. Learn how you can be a part of building a more resilient Colorado.

Have you ever wondered just how connected humans are to our natural environment? Join FEMA Region VIII to discuss just how connected we all are to floods, fires, and the wildlife-urban interface. Come with questions about how these are interlinked and how we can all work to build a better, more resilient Colorado and discuss those topics with leaders in their fields, including Madi Pluss, Peter Reinhardt, Traci Harrison and Diana Herrera.

This event has passed but you can check it out and more at FEMA digital exhibit!

    Collective Vision Boarding

Join TEDxMileHigh, TEDxMileHigh speaker David Barron, and Jacki Carr as we take a step back to explore what we want our lives to look and feel like—for ourselves, in our work, and as a community.

What do you want for your future self? For your future community?

In this TEDxMileHigh Adventure—available to individuals, families, and friends alike—we will put words and images to experiences, feelings, and ideas. We will dream big and craft a vision for ourselves, our work, and our community—culminating in a TEDxMileHigh Community Vision Board.

Learn how to define what you really want and how to see it, feel it, and get there. You will walk away with your very own Vision Board—whether you create it digitally or physically—and tips on how to integrate the exercise into your life moving forward.

      Yoga + Justice + Healing

Join us for yoga that holds social justice at its heart. Space allows us to reclaim yoga as an indigenous healing wisdom tradition with authenticity and a critical inquiry informed by our multicultural, multi-dimensional, and intersectional perspectives.

We will gather to flow, to surrender to our truth, and commit to inner activism. Let’s slow down, find peace within, and ready ourselves to show up and fight for ourselves and our beautifully diverse community.

This yoga flow and short journaling session is led by Natasha Chaoua, founder and owner of Dubwise Yoga Denver, LLC and a graduate and Member-Owner of Satya Yoga Cooperative, Colorado’s first 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program for black, indigenous, people of color, and the nations first BIPOC member-owned yoga cooperative.
