Skin Cancer Researcher
Larry Zhang, 18, is a recent graduate from Fairview High School in Boulder, Colo. In the fall, he will be studying molecular biology and computer science at MIT in Cambridge, Mass. For the past three years, Larry has interned at a biological research lab at the University of Colorado Boulder, where he is investigating skin cancer development. He is a three-time finalist at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for his work on RNA interference and skin cancer regulation. Outside of research, Larry is also involved in various math, student government, and music programs. In his spare time, he enjoys teaching himself Italian and dancing.
